It is for certain a bug in CP8, in previous versions you can change the timing of the pause, but you never can turn it off. Must be a design flaw, using same Timing Properties for each interactive object in CP8 (to make it 'clear').
To me it is logical that you cannot turn off a pause in a TEB, since it has to wait for an input from the user. It is the same for question slides, no way to turn off the pause, you can only move it. For a TEB you can move it with the Timing Properties, which is not even the case for Question slides where you (still) only have the dragging on the Timeline possible to move the pausing point.
Why do you need that button? If it is meant as a Next button, do you want to allow it to move without entries in the TEB's? Then set its action to 'Go to Next Slide', not to Continue?
