Re: I am having problems converting raw files to jpeg for printing. I am using 90 quality, 300 resolutiong, srgb, no sharpening and no resizing.  when u print to meijer the pic are a little grainy.  can soneone pkease helo me understand what settings to u

The exported image size is 3264x4928. Since i need to give these pictures to someone on a CD I would like a setting that would be ok for printing 4x6 up to 8x10. I appreiciate your responses!

 

If you don't know what size the recipient will print, you just export the original picture and let them crop it to the right size. Either that or you give them a photo cropped 4x6, then another one cropped 5x7 and another one cropped 8x10. In any case you would leave "Resize to Fit" unchecked. Of course, your words above don't sound like anything relating to your first two posts in this thread, which talked about a different problem of "graininess".

 

Another question ... what is your operating system and what software (and what version of the software) are you using to view the images where they look grainy?
