If I uncheck then I'm back to my original issue. The raw import feature used to have a set of size options below the image, one of those sizes was actually larger than the original image size - which would result in a file size of 75MB instead of 65MB, it increased the dimensions and the apparent MP too resulting in a larger image and file all around. This version doesn't have that set of options and whatever you increase results in something else being reduced. This did not used to be the case. I've been using photoshop for over 10 years, everything else in this new version seems to be improving but I have this one specific issue with importing the raw files. I've been as clear as possible. D:o you remember the option on older versions? I gave a high quality larger file to work with direct from import. However you vary the options on the newer versions you can't get the same result. Someone else here must have noticed this?
