Thank you Twenty_one.  I have read some of your responses on this subject already so I understand your expertise in this subject..... Much appreciated too, by the way.

My client is not the Publisher, but a professional in her own right, writing an article for the publication.  She is also a friend who asked me to take a new corporate head shot for this endeavor of hers.   She, in her own skin, is worried that her submission will fail the expectation of the publisher.  So my information comes from her.... High Resolution, 300 DPI in CMYK.  She did not know what CMYK is, so I know it was not a mis-quote.   Having said all of this, it was "Her personal Computer" that first received my images and once opened, they distorted in colors, badly.... skin tones took on a light purple and the backdrop, which was a brown with strong red tones mix, came back a funky light purple.

Could it be her computer that received my CMYK file that distorted the image, but would it not "right itself" once the file was returned back to me?

The sRGB file, you mentioned sending as a backup .... Can this be a file produced in Lightroom, or do I need to stay with the same image I am editing in PS.  (my editing skills for portraits are far greater in LR than in PS)

And since I started my response to your reply, (immediately upon receipt) I started looking for the "Convert to Profile" feature... I saw it yesterday, as a fluke, but can't seem to find it now.

thanks!
