Heather: I have been working on this now for 3 days and I am so frustrated with this program

Heather: I was not prompted to register this software either

Manjeet: May I know what exact error message you are getting it?

Heather: I put the product key in while downloading

Heather: I am getting nothing.

Heather: It is almost like the program times out

Heather: It looks like it will open but nothing happens

Heather: When I try to access the photo editor from the organizer screen, it just says loading and eventually times out

Heather: I have uninstalled and had dell reinstall and they couldn't even get it to work

Heather: I am operating on windows 7

Manjeet: May I know are you able to launch photo editor directly?

Heather: I cannot and have not seen the editor page at all since I downloaded PSE12. I can only see the organizer page

Arunkumar: I understand that you are facing the issue with launching of Photoshop Elements 12. Is that correct?

Heather: I am have a problem getting the Photo editor to come up

Heather: I can however get the organizer to come up

Heather: The photo editor does nothing

Arunkumar: Thank you confirming. I will be glad to assist you with this.

Heather: Thank you

Arunkumar: Please allow me 2-3 minutes while I check this for you.

Heather: ok

Heather: I have not activated my Product key with Adobe either

Heather: I only entered it while downloading the sofetware

Arunkumar: Okay.

Arunkumar: Thank you for staying online.

Arunkumar: Now press alt ctrl delete at the same time to open task manager.

Heather: ok

Heather: open

Arunkumar: Please close all the Adobe processes running such as AAM updater AAM updater notifier Crash Daemon and Core Sync.

Arunkumar: Also close the Adobe Photoshop process running .

Heather: Flash player?

Arunkumar: End only the Adobe process.

Heather: It is Adobe flash player

Heather: I don't see any other Adobe program running

Arunkumar: Please close the Photoshop Elements 12 running.

Heather: ok

Heather: done

Arunkumar: Now try to launch Adobe Photoshop Elements 12 and try to open Editor.

Heather: It did the same thing. Nothing.

Arunkumar: Okay.

Arunkumar: I am sorry for the delay.

Heather: its ok,

Arunkumar: C:\ProgramData\Adobe\SL Store folder.

Heather: I had no problem with the trial PSE11

Arunkumar: Okay.

Arunkumar: Navigate to the above location.

Heather: Opened

Arunkumar: move the contents of SL Store  to desktop.

Heather: ok

Heather: the folder is empty

Heather: and the 3 files are on my desktop

Arunkumar: Now please try to launch Photoshop Elements 12.

Heather: Same problem, only the organizer will come up

Heather: Still cannot get the editor to load

Arunkumar: Okay.

Arunkumar: Navigate to C:\Program Files (x86)\Common Files\Adobe.

Arunkumar: Rename  OOBE, Adobe Application Manager folder to old1 and old 2.

Heather: I only see OOBE

Arunkumar: Please rename it oobeold.

Heather: I did

Arunkumar: Now please try to launch.

Heather: I got a error message when I opened the organizer. The editor still wouldn't come up

Arunkumar: May I know exact error you are getting?

Heather: The message said: Adobe Application Manager,required to start your trial, is missing or damaged.

Arunkumar: Okay.

Arunkumar: Now we will go ahead and install Adobe Application Manager.

Heather: ok

Arunkumar: Please refer the above link to download and install Adobe Application Manager.

Heather: Ok I think it is done

Arunkumar: Now please click on Adobe Application Manager and update it.

Heather: It is updating Adobe Application manager

Arunkumar: Okay.

Heather: wow this takes some time....

Arunkumar: Okay.

Arunkumar: May I know the status please?

Heather: Looks like it is almost done

Arunkumar: Okay.

Heather: I got a error message that windows detected that the program did not run correctly

Heather: also all my desktop Items are gone

Heather: even the start menu

Arunkumar: May I know if you are using dual monitor?

Heather: no I am not

Arunkumar: Okay.

Arunkumar: May I know if you are able to see the Photoshop icon?

Heather: I cannot see ANY program

Heather: just this screen

Heather: no shortcuts, nothing on my desktop

Arunkumar: Okay.

Heather: What do I do?

Arunkumar: In this case we will restart the system and try to launch Photoshop Elements 12.

Arunkumar: I will provide you the link to share the screen.

Heather: ok

Heather: How will I stay in contact with you?

Heather: done and put my name in

Arunkumar: Okay.

Heather: still blank

Arunkumar: Okay.

Arunkumar: In this case please go ahead and restart the system and contact us back so that we can better assist you with this.

 

 

 

This is what I have been dealing with.... No answers and I am frustrated!
