OK, this is strange.
My PPro CC 2014 project now shows the SpeedGrade icon that opens the my projects.
When I try and change the default program to PPro CC 2014, it doesn't accept the change for some reason.
Steps that I did so far:
- Locate the PPro Project on the HDD
- Right click and selected "Open With" and then "Choose Default Program"
- The "Open With" box pops up and then I click Browse ... since PPro is not listed below in the Other Programs section
- Another "Open With" box pops up with the Program Files location
- I select and open the Adobe folder and scroll down to and click open the Adobe Premiere Pro CC 2014 folder
- I then scroll down to the PR purple icon which is the Adobe Premiere Pro.exe and select it, then click Open
- Then the box goes away and I'm back to the first "Open With" box where PPro should be there now as the default program ... but isn't. It still shows SpeedGrade as the default program.
If I launch PPro, and then select that project, it will open fine.
If I go to the project icon and open it, it will open up in Speed Grade.
I've changed default programs before so I know how to do that part. But this is just bewildering to me as to it doesn't change the default program.
I must be doing something wrong and I hope it's just a stupid error on my part ... but so far, I don't see what I'm doing / did wrong.
Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
External HDD is where my project is stored along with all related files
Windows version of Premiere Pro CC 2014 (latest version as of July 2014)
Windows 7 64bit Ultimate
Nothing has changed since the last 2014 update ... and everything was working as usual after the update.
